“When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else.” — Georgia O’Keeffe
This purple datura is a “10-10-10” capture at my local botanical garden. It’s a strange plant whose flowers and leaves are toxic. I keep trying but find it difficult to photograph. I liked what happened when I moved in really close and let the flower’s abstract qualities take over. (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 50mm macro, f/3.5, 1/80 sec., ISO 400, overcast/fog)
