A velvety red rose after a morning rain – rendered in black and white she made me think of the famous aria from Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Now her petals are the color of night and the raindrops are sparkling stars.

Thank you, Maggie! I love doing the occasional b&w, but this one is difficult because its dark tones demand a well-calibrated monitor to appreciate the tonal range. Not everyone runs a calibrated monitor. :)
