It's a Duesy! - Father's Day card by

This lovely antique automobile is a Duesenberg (sometimes called a “Duesy”), an American luxury vehicle from the early part of the 20th century. I’m making this available as both a Father’s Day card and the image without text. Subtle painterly effect achieved in Alien Skin SnapArt (customized oil paint settings on a partially transparent layer). (Olympus E-300 & Zuiko 14-45mm zoom at 28mm [56mm in 35mm full-frame equivalent], f/5.6, 1/100 sec., ISO 100, filtered morning sun, handheld)

A wonderful card for the dad in someone’s life…I love the perspective here, Celeste…
Also, I wrote this in the comment section of Feminine Intent, in response to your lovely addition…

Thank you all for your positive comments and enthusiasm for all featured here…
And a special thank-you to you, Celeste, for sharing that most beautiful and tender stanza by Dr. Angelou…
The sensitivity and honesty of her writings shall continue within each one of us… For we listen and we learn…

  • Thank you kindly, Susan. As I was working on the image, it suddenly occurred to me that it would be a good one for Father’s Day. :) I appreciate your follow-up comment in Feminine Intent.

I do love the old cars Celeste, the Duesy is a special breed, lucky you … love how you did it… well done for sure !!!

  • Thanks very much, Larry! I’m not a car buff, and yet I find many of the antique vehicles quite fascinating.
