Beautiful work and glow. Love how the dark tips of the petals define the flower.

  • Thanks very much, Joy! In the same patch of flowers, some had the dark tips while others didn’t. The dark tips are much more photogenic. :)

Beautiful capture. Love the markings outlining the petal tips. A fave many times Celeste.

  • Many thanks, Sandra! The dark tips appeal to me as well, but they’re difficult to see without the magnification of a macro lens. I learned through observation that dark centers go with dark petal tips, as the calendulas with the more typical yellow centers have no such petal markings.

Oh, this is so lovely, Celeste – it seems to glow from within! I’m always inspired and amazed by your mastery of selective focus! And what a wonderful image for a birthday or Mother’s Day card!

  • Thanks very much, Anita! I do love working in the range of large apertures. I’m glad you like the card versions, as I always have fun making cards.
