This ladybug/ladybird/lady beetle seemed to be sporting a new wax job on its outer shell, which was shining brightly as the little beetle stayed on one bloom but kept disappearing under the petals and reappearing on top. I did not remove any spots, as this ladybug had none! (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 50mm macro, f/6.3, 1/320 sec., bright overcast, handheld) The subtle texture (“Clair Obscur” in Les Textures 2) is from Leslie Nicole’s French Kiss Textures.
