This image is my reminder of why I should always have a camera with me. I was running errands on a Saturday afternoon when I saw a group of what appeared to be classic and antique vehicles, all red and silver, gathered in a parking lot. My brain registered “photo opportunity,” and I turned around, parked, and spoke to some very nice fellows who were happy to let me make some photos. They were driving vehicles that usually reside in the Long Beach Fire Museum (California), but that afternoon they had been part of a graduation ceremony for new Long Beach firefighters. One vehicle ran out of gasoline on the way back to the museum, and they were waiting for the person with the emergency gas supply to arrive. My photo opportunity ended when that gas arrived, but oh how glad I was that I had my camera with me that day. (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 35mm macro, f/16, 1/160 sec, ISO 100, afternoon sun, handheld)
