The Museum of Latin American Art (Long Beach, California) is unique among museums in the western United States in featuring only modern and contemporary art of Latin America (including the Caribbean). The museum was redesigned in 2006/2007 by prominent Mexican architect Manuel Rosen with bold shapes and colors, as seen in this view framed by a sculpture near the front entrance. The building itself is as wonderful as the artwork it contains. (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 9-18mm zoom at 9mm [18mm in full-frame 35mm equivalent], f/8, 1/320 sec., ISO 100, afternoon sun, handheld)
