A perfect, sunny spring day in Avalon, Santa Catalina Island (California). I was walking and enjoying the charm of this lovely little town when I came upon this freshly painted vacation cottage. I loved the contrast of yellow and white against the blue sky. Wouldn’t this be a wonderful spot for a holiday stay? I’m all set to move in right now, as I look out the window at almost a foot of fresh snow on the eve of spring. Last year at this time I was shooting daffodils and baby viburnum leaves, but we won’t be seeing either of those anytime soon this year.
Thank you, Anita! I would have been ready to move in myself, except I already had a hotel reservation down the street. I’ve read about the snow in New England – frustrating, I’m sure, when you’re anticipating spring.
