Join me at the Juried Invitational Exhibition

I am very excited to have my art selected to exhibit in SoJie 15. SoJie 15 takes its name from the first letters of Solo’s Juried Invitational Exhibition. This month is only the 15th one, ever, and 41 other artists, besides myself, are represented.

The theme of the show is celebrating the beauty and nature of birds.

Winners of the invitational will be announced on May 30th, when a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in three categories: digital art, photography, and traditional art.

Non-members, as well as members, ARE welcome to view all of the work nominated. So I hope that you will click the show banner, above, and follow the link to view my fellow exhibitors. The works are shown “gallery size” and are beautiful, seen together.

If you do not belong to the group, Solo Exhibition, you cannot participate in commenting; and joining to comment is not encouraged. But you CAN lend support by commenting in my journal, here, about the show.

THIS JOURNAL IS ALSO PART OF A WEB RING. You can also follow other artists involved, by clicking on the WEB RING BADGE below. You don’t need to be a member of Solo Exhibition to show your support; this web ring is especially for non-members! Thank you!

Celeste, you have a beautiful knack for capturing birds, which must mean that you love them. The upside down Lorikeet is just too funny with its acrobatics. I love how the second one has got its head nearly upside down to look at the other eye to eye. The Solo Team loved the playfulness that you captured in this one. We saw many Kookaburra submissions, but this one seemed to dignify the bird. Beautiful work and background. And of course, your Ruffled Feathers, which inspired not one but two significant works of art in the workshop is very special. Congratulations and thank you!

  • Thank you very much, Frannie! This is a big deal to me, as it’s my first SoJie, and I am honored to have these images nominated. And yes, I do love birds (and nature in general).
