Legless

Legless

For those unfamiliar with the term ‘legless’, the Online Slang Dictionary states its meaning as ‘intoxicated to the point of being immobile’. It originated in the UK and is also part of the Australian vernacular. I hope that this image is seen for its humour, as no offence is intended to those unable to walk, or indeed have no legs.

For months now, every night I’ve driven home from work I’ve seen this motorised scooter parked outside the pub just begging to be photographed, and tonight I finally stopped, fearful that one day it might disappear.

Outside the Belmont Hotel, Bendigo – August 2009

Image taken with 2MP Motorazr V9 mobile phone camera.
