I’m so excited …. I live a mile or so from Swan Island Dahlia Farm in Canby Oregon and they are starting to bloom. Here is my first photo from there. Gorgeous red beauty. I love the petals on this dahlia.

    Wow Cee. How gorgeous. I remember going to a couple of the Swan Island Dahlia Farm shows many years ago. The Dahlia’s were amazing and I had no idea they were so varied. My father always loved Dahlias so our garden in Medford when I was growing up always had Dahlias. He loved the big dinner plate sized ones. This is gorgeous. A definite favorite.

    Thanks so much for the WOW and awesome comments. I too like the real big dahlias. This one isn’t so big, but it came out beautifully. Swan Island must have 500 or more varieties. They are just so fun :D
