When I was six, my parents gave me a Polaroid camera for Christmas and I was hooked. Thirty years and hundreds of rolls of film later, my husband surprised me with a digital camera for Christmas and I was like a kid again.
I love to capture those ordinary moments that make life magical. There is beauty and joy in every day. I hope these photos bring some to you.

Writing
Awakening
You step through / And the intense light momentarily blinds you / When your eyes adjust / You realize you are where you are meant to be / And the brilliant light is now radiating from you.
Crossroads
Sometimes hiding is easier than being who you are / But it is only a matter of time before the fire will return / And this time it might burn your skin.
Resizing
Like sunlight, I can open petals and see the opportunities within / Or like a scythe, I can cut off options / Shut down growth, / Or deprive myself and wither under the neglect
Detours
As you come back to yourself / You forget where you were going / And remember only who you are / The “detour” becomes the new path / And you savor every minute of the journey.
Standing Ovation
I dance with the fluidity of my soul / And sing my heart’s songs with delight
