Piwi's Prize

He was sixteen, I was six
When half a finger went by axe
I thought this was pretty cool
So I picked it up to take to school
Into a matchbox it did go
Take along to ‘tell and show’
Like all small boys when I was done
Into my pocket I’d had my fun
By this time it was pretty high
I don’t think I even new why
Mum saw the box her face was dire
Thought six too young to play with fire
“Oh no mum” I did quickly advise
“It’s Billy’s finger I wouldn’t tell lies”
