Lady Sorrow : T-shirt illustration / design - inspired by stencil / street art.
vector graphic created from a pen and ink drawing.
Was really inspired by seeing street art and stencil art around Melbourne’s alleyways. Somehow it got into my blood and this illustration came out when playing around one day.

got to love the art, just got to love it. I am looking forward to black Tshirts with a whole new dimension

Yes, t-shirts are great. I thought about screenprinting this design on a shirt but now I won’t have to.
Which is good really – since I don’t have any screenprinting equipment!!

Simple and effective design, perfect for t-shirts. Great hair.
I was going to do the screen printing course at Span House in Thornbury, but now I can just ‘bubble it. I was glad to hear you thought the quality was high.
Celia Coulter
thanks, I have considered going out and buying screenprinting equipment but as I have a cupboard full of art and craft stuff still to play with I have restrained myself so far.
Plus the professional quality of the redbubble shirts is pretty impressive. Better than I could come up with at home without spending big bucks!

Celia this is my favourite of your designs. Have you thought of a series? It looks so good in your collection.
Celia Coulter
Thanks Alan, it is my favourite too. I need to pull my finger out and do some more art. Been busy with work and whatnot.
Funny, My brother suggested a series too. Hmmm will have to think up some t-shirt ideas.

I see your back on the front page. You go girl! looks awesome in black and white.
Celia Coulter
Thanks Belinda and Alan, home page seems to like lady Sorrow, she has been up there a few times.
Now people. . . buy her on a shirt she looks awesome – I wear her to work on casual Friday’s every now and then.
She looks really good in yellow too -
