Blue River - melted wax crayon on canvas heat experiment: Youtube video demo
Close up photograph of Blue River.
I melted wax crayons with an embossing heat gun and let them run on the canvas.
Building up layers successively.
The final work is not that appealing to me but I am really just experimenting and having fun. I plan on playing more with this technique. The close up photo I took is kind of cool.
See my you tube video Playing with Crayons to watch me creating this.

Experiment, play & enjoy-interesting use of materials, quite like what is going on here..

Thanks, I do like to experiment. I wouldn’t mind taking some classes one day when I have time to learn about how to do things “proper” though.

Thanks, I need to get back to work on those. Have had dramas with the oils from the wax leaching into the canvas and staining it after time. But, definitely something I want to try.
Exhibiting . . . maybe one day. Thankyou!!
