Small Worm on Frosted Wild Mountain Mint by

Now this is where a super macro lens would come in handy!!
This is a crop, and not the best shot ever…but still had to share this amazing little critter…now folks I am half blind in one eye, and can’t see out of the other…but this looks like a catepillar of some type…at any rate it is a bug cleaverly disguising itself a dead leaves, and is smaller that a pencil erasier……
So many things in nature we have never seen before! I have lived in these woods all my life, and never saw this sweet thing in my life till yesterday!

Great tones and composition Carolyn! Like the later level focusing, very well done. This is some special caterpillar! Good capture.

Now I can see it, and you made me look again. I looked for it on Google and can not find it. I can find moths that look like dead leaves but not one of these, Neat Sis. Great find.

  • LOL!!! Monkeys alway look hahahahaha…………well I appreciate you doing a search Byron :) Maybe it is just a worm, lol! Whatever it is it is the neatest little thing…..Once I had seen it I realized I have seen them on my mountain mint in the past years…but did just what it hopes all thing do..thought it was just dead little leaves or blooms.
