Found this old shetland pony saddle at a old home place, its all ragged, and torn, but when trees are taken out in my yard I always like to have something on the remaining stump… LOL! The stumps are left high for easy romovel in a few years, as well as woodpecker habitat in my forest yard. Trees are only removed that are deseased, or infested with oak beatles, and by no means will a bulldozer ever be on my land. They are very distructive, and I have a lot of endangered wilderness plant, and flowers reserved in my forest. Love to see all the cardinal that visit during the winter months.
*Thanks so much for all your visits, view, and favorings :)))

This is lovely Carolyn! Enjoyed your text, very much! I haven’t seen a cardinal since I left Pennsylvania, over 30 yrs. ago. I live in Oregon now and although I still have many colorful birds, I miss my favorite. I used to live in a forest and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved to tromp around and see the wildlife. I’ve lived next to a busy road for the last almost 17 yrs. The speed limit is only 25mph. but you know that life passes you by, faster than that and solitude is something that I now find in public forest and it’s not the same. Thanks for the wonderful memories! Dee

Terrific capture. Like the foggy background and the use of the saddle. Great exposure and work.
