Its so refreshing to see the spring flowers after a long winter season, to watch the new colors rise to the calling of a new spring. In my yard, Tulips bloom from late March through May, and most times even later.
Planting anywhere from 3 inches to 7 inches deep, extends the blooming season considerably. I plant some a bit shallow, for early blooms. Planting at different depths will insure there is a pretty patch gracing the landscape somewhere for a longer bloomomg season.

Nothing like those first tulips in bloom, while the trees are still so bare. Spring is a nice change of perspective.
