FEATURED in CLOSE-UPS IN NATURE, in TUESDAY AFTERNOON and in ONE SINGLE FLOWER ON DISPLAY

Species Turkestan Tulip in my Pennsylvania garden.

The Turkestan tulip is an absolute gem of a plant. It is not shy on flowering with each stem producing as many as nine flower buds at a time. The flowers are lightly fragrant and star shaped. The colour ranges from antique cream to pure white with an orange or yellow centre. The foliage is narrow, and bluish-green. Flowers bloom late winter to mid spring.
