Sure is the view and climb to the top is awesome (and quite difficult in spots). I’d love to explore some of the nearby gorges. I’ve been a bit obsessed with the Prom in the last few years but I think it’s time to give the gramps another good look. Used to climb heaps in the 90’s all over the gramps but havn’t visited much since I’ve gotten a bit more serious with the photography. Saw a wild donkey near this spot when I was last there.

a wild donkey wtf?! you may need to find one again to carry your 70-200! looking down into the valley there’s gorges aplenty – would be an explorers wonderland. i found a youtube video a bloke had posted, hanging from the roof of one of the climbs here. i embedded it in a blog post. pure insanity…

Passport to Insanity is one of the most famous climbs in Aus. It was first freed by a girl called Nyrie Dodd who controversially graded it 24/28 depending on hand size (hers were very small). The whole history of it is in a really old edition of Wild magazine. Great area.
