functionalism 1 It all happens while you sleep

it all happens while you sleep
and while your cells are at work
in harmony
with the wonders of your mind opening
cogs of spiritual realities churning you to pulse
and sweat
through pores of being
deep within the heartwork’s still
while the true functionality beats your being a life
long
through every wake’s crest
and fall
into the hardware of believing is
always reprogramming itself
to escape
into the same mortal questions
about bones at play with the dangerous
forever-shapes of aging parts while walking,
running, sitting, standing and
falling into muscular memory
tombs of truths dying like sunsets
pretend they are not sunrises too
beautiful to ever know love
spinning round a sun that burns the brain
of poetry
painting the shell of your skin
with pigments of humor’s colors
covering all of the world you
sleep on

functionalism 1 It all happens while you sleep by

I began writing this style of poety as a result of entering RB group C.O.R.E., Writing Challenge, #2, July 2010. Challenge over. it was rare that I do so, it was a good experience!

Now it is the first poem in the series
functionalism

functionalism a series that explores (Stream of Linear Poetic Conscious) a writing style that streams words and lines into the readers mind. Some may feel this breaks all the rules of writing; and so let it be the painting it is upon your mind’s interpreting construction.

so rich words painted with philosophical thought! you’ve written this for Core Challenge ain’t you? :-)

  • Yes. I never know how to deal with Challenges!
I understand there value, yet i’m torn by the politics, emotional and supportive guilt, and pear pressure of this.
How can one vote for the art that most contributes to the group’s challenge & its ideal focus to solicit a contribution to the arts in whole?

Lovely work throughout, C.C.—a really special piece; I can see the reoccurring theme of God introducing Himself to Himself through Himself as creation, not simply recreating Himself in the physical out of spiritual archetype but always creating Himself entirely new. There are physical forms and wonders we humans are yet to experience that are far beyond our present comprehension. We will never get back to that point of Oneness with God (alone) for as we evolve in consciousness so does He, an infinite concept never to repeat itself.

  • A stellar comment. Thoughtfulness cubed. What you give here cannot be held.
    Beauty!
