*Leaving to Love*

An ode to Robin Fortin

A RedBubble artist has died, yet imagine. Here I discovered her work. And in memoriam I was moved by a chill in my spine to write this with a quivering blast of breath. My gratitude felt touched. And so here, with this little poem, I wish to give ode the importance of an artist’s life, and living work.

*Leaving to Love* belongs to the following groups:

Complex Simplicity of Art, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, End Times, Live, Love, Dream: , Mysteries of the Common, The Sensual Word, United States and WMG

Some memories are born
When the wind of life leaves us

Bye brisk spirit
Our soul takes to flight

Into the lens
The shutter timed now

Beyond here goes living
—life shudders

When we quake
Waking passes

Our most naked sense
‘touched’ so…

... little we know
We leave to love’s walk

A leaving to love poem for the memory of Robin,
~ C.C. Arshagra “Imagine. I just met her now.”

This leaves me with a lump in my throat. I can hardly see through my tears.

You cry Kelli, Many people are still processing such truths, some feel they cannot, some still learning how or the time to has not come: self included sometimes. Hopefully we find the air and the breathing room’s gift to grow through the events of the life we live.

This is a lovely tribute to a lovely person! Would you consider sharing this in the Thank You RedBubble group?

  • C.C. Arshagra replied

Thank you Marcalla, I found that group just a day or two ago and joined. the join page says l’eave this group’. and —it was listed (w/grayed-out check box) as not excepting sub. now; yesterday. But now its not on my list of groups at all. If you think promoting this piece on Thank You RedBubble will be healing to anyone I will be moved by you requesting it and happy to share away … or if you want to spread it around I’d be honored, but please don’t post it about me, do it for the poem her life created; it’s for Robin and all who are transcending a loss here.

My apologies. The group is now called How has RedBubble helped you? and you are still listed as a member. Your poem would be a nice tribute to Robin, sharing her art and life with others.
