Starting in 1966, in the midst of the spy thriller era, one television series focused on a team of highly skilled operatives that was tasked with taking on corrupt government officials, evil organizations, and crime syndicates. Most notably led by team leader Jim Phelps for all but the initial season of the show’s run, “Mission: Impossible” became one of the better known series of its time and ran for seven seasons.

Fifteen years later, the series was resurrected, with Phelps returning to lead a new team of IMF agents, although this series ran for only two seasons.

But Mission: Impossible was not forgotten. In 1996, a movie version of the series was released, and spawned two sequels, with a third to be released in December 2011.

Inspired by “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”, I recreated this logo based on the first film’s logo of the IMF (circa 1996), which is relatively simple in design. And since I have not seen any IMF t-shirts, I took it upon myself to recreate the logo and the shirt.

If you’re a fan of the recent movie series, then this is the shirt for you.
