ST Registry Series - Voyager Logo by

This is part of a series that will present the registry numbers and names (and ship pennants) of notable Starfleet Vessels throughout the Star Trek franchise, starting at the beginning.

The U.S.S. Voyager was an Intrepid-Class vessel that was a long range exploratory vessel initially assigned to investigate a Maquis presence in an area of space called the Badlands. But the mission goes wrong when an alien force of unbelievable power sweeps Voyager and her crew to the other side of the galaxy in the far-reaching Delta Quadrant. In order to protect the genoside of a speciaes knwon as the Ocampa, Voyager’s crew were forced to destroy their only way home: the array that brought them there in the first place. Under the command of Kathryn Janeway, Voyager would cross the unknown quadrant for a period of seven years, encountering many species, and eventually finding a way home back to Federation Space and Earth.
