In Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles, one personality seemed to assert herself much more than most of the titular family: designer Edna Mode. So I thought, if she was designing for heroes (and models, despite the fact that it was somewhat unappealing to her), she must have opened up a fashion line or design company. And hence, my design was born.

I wanted to make sure Edna was the focus, so I used the most basic lines from her face and glasses as the basis for the logo, and then chose a font that looked like it came straight out of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Project Runway, America’s Next Top Model, or New York Fashion Week. The rest of the design just fell into place. and of course, I had to include “No Capes” in there somewhere, but wanted it to look modern, since Edna would not look back – she would say that it distracts from the now.

Chris is a roguishly handsome and seemingly well-dressed defender of truth and justice that just happens to be a freelance web and graphic designer.
