“One man can make a difference.” – Wilton Knight

For years, Knight Industries developed technologies that was to be used to benefit humanity. As one of his last acts, Wilton Knight created a new law enforcement arm of Knight Industries, officially named The Foundation for Law and Government (or F.L.A.G.). The quote above was the fundamental ideal behind the Foundation and was said by Wilton Knight to Michael Knight on his deathbed. FLAG’s mandate is “to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, and the powerless” against criminals and threats that operate above the law.

In one possible reality, between 1986 and 2008, FLAG no longer exits, and Wilton Knight’s vision becomes all but a memory. However, Charles Graiman, one of the developers of the original Knight 2000, develops a new crimefighting vehicle with the latest 21st Century technology including a new artificial intelligence.

Upon his untimely death, and with the help of his daughter Sarah and Mike Traceur, who takes the name Michael Knight in honor of his father, the original Michael Knight, Charles’s hope that FLAG can be re-instituted becomes reality, with this logo establishing the new FLAG, with Sarah as its new Executive Director and the new Michael Knight its primary field agent.

This logo is based on a design last seen in 2009. This is not an exact replica. In fact, certain design elements had to be altered, including the outer text, some additional beveling, and most prominently, a resizing of the central crest, including a second star and a narrower and taller crest area, in order to accommodate the organization’s name.

This logo was designed as an homage (with some notable design improvements), and the ideal established by the original tv series over 25 years ago.

Chris is a roguishly handsome and seemingly well-dressed defender of truth and justice that just happens to be a freelance web and graphic designer.
