Christopher Pope
Biography
Born in Australia in 1970, my love for art and wildlife began early having spent my childhood in small South Australian country towns. Although I have studied illustration and art in various forms I am basically self-taught and regarded as one of the leaders in the field of wildlife art in Australia.
I have exhibited since 1995, with my works now hanging in various Australian and overseas collections. Many of my paintings have been published into limited edition prints (http://www.artreproductions.com.au/gallery.php?artistid=129) and postage stamps, “Cocos (Keeling) Island Visiting Birds” 2008 & “Song birds of Australia” stamps released 2009 visit (www.stamps.com.au/shop/stamps/songbirds). Currently represented by Redhill Gallery Qld (www.redhillgallery.com.au). and the A.F.C. Artist for Conservation (www.natureartists.com/christopher_pope.asp)
I hope my art will bring more awarness in the preservation of our beautiful and precious wildlife.
