Eastern Bearded Dragon – Pogona barbata

This photo was taken just out side Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
With all the nature strips between properties these fantastic lizards are thriving and can be seen clinging to stumps and trees in some of the busiest suburbs of Brisbane. This beautiful bearded dragon caught my attention while I was out one morning for a walk. I found a total of seven just off the path in a small stretch and they all press themselves against what ever they are clinging to in an attempt to stay hidden.

    Well spotted

  • Thanks very much. They are actually really good at camouflage and normally only move a little when you get close :)
