Chantal Misplon

Photography has been a hobby of mine for a few years now, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do since I was a young teenager.

I love art, and I love being creative – though it isn’t always easy to express what’s in my head. For me, photography is like painting the pictures I see in my mind when my paintbrush can’t do the job.

I am still learning as much as I can, and I like receiving helpful critique. I’ve done a few photography courses to give myself a good grounding, and hopefully this can be seen in my photos.

My favourite style of photography is still life and portraiture. I very much enjoy setting up still lifes and trying different perspectives. I also enjoy photographing people when they’re being themselves: when their natural character shines through.
