A very curious lioness stares directly at the children through the glass at the Denver Zoo. Before this she was standing on her hind legs and pawing at the glass as if she was trying to get out and ‘play.’ Quite an interesting display and a treat to see. One of the zoo volunteers said that he has been volunteering in the lion area for almost 20 years and had never seen one of the lions act like that!
LOVE, love, love this!! It is quite similar to the one you favorited in that a wonderful inter-species communication is happening right before our very eyes. Love the 2 additional views of this baby reflected in the glass AND the close attention this lioness is paying to the young child. Good capture. Peace, sass
Yea, that sort of inter-animal connection is definitely present. I just can’t believe how calm he was being face to face with a lion with just a sheet of glass separating the two!
Fantastic..whenever I take my kids to the Zoo, the bloody Lions are asleep :-)
Thanks Andrew. It was truly an amazing experience. Most of the time the captive animals are pretty docile but on this day all the animals were acting crazy! It was very cool.
