First off, I would like to thank Redbubble for the recent homepage appearance yesterday of my protest photo D.C. Protest IV it was a wonderful surprise!
Second, I just wanted to share that I have taken on my last few rolls of Kodak’s Kodachrome which made it down to the Grand Canyon with me last month. Since the film is no longer being produced, processing of the slide film will be nonexistent after December of this year. So my final Kodachrome hurrah is here and I am taking full advantage of it. My first six rolls are going to the processor in a week or so and then it’s just a matter of time before another batch is off as well.
It seems a sad day in photographic history that Kodachrome is being put to rest after decades of quintessential photographic expression in the US and internationally. This warm toned slide will only remain a memory both in the minds and upon the emulsion of those of us who had the pleasure of using it!
RIP Kodachrome, you’ll never be forgotten…
