Uganda
A little girl from Mt. Elgon, Uganda tells me with a smile in her native Lugandan language, not to take her picture. This village borders the initial hot zone, near Kitum Cave, where the Ebola virus broke out back in the late 60’s and continued to baffle scientists up until the last century.

this is such an amazing photo, the child is so innocent and it’s as if she could be saying so many important messages but we are not sure what, kind of like how no one can figure out the mona lisa’s expression. i really love this photo – excellent work.
