From the dark!

From the dark!

Milky eagle owl!
I took this at a wildlife park, he was sitting in some shade with a small shaft of sunlight across one eye.
With a bit of work in photoshop, he looks wild!

Your Photoshop work has made this creature more real not less, as it has liberated him from captivity. Fine, precise, and sensitive treatment of a noble being – noble unless you’re a rodent in his claws, I suppose.

  • Carole Stevens replied

Thank you so much Peter, i always try to show my zoo piks without bars, so thank you for seeing that!

Wow, what a fantastic shot. The contrast between lights and dark and the use of negative space really emphasizes the owl. It definitely says nighttime in my element when looking at this photo.

  • Carole Stevens replied

Thanks for your comment Jacob, I nearly deleted the colour version, but wanted this effect in mono, so big thnaks!
