Take the walls away / And what you see will surprise you
Crossing the yard in my bare feet, / over sleeping grass and centipedes.
And the ocean, opening and closing its mouth
Waiting, / With burnt and bated breath, / Waiting. / My sand shelf self / Inevitable tide / That covers our arrival / In one smooth motion / Fills and erases us
Yesterday’s pockets are filled with us / And tomorrow’s hands are bare
inspire a sea / fill the empty whale
