Oil on Canvas Board 30 × 30 cm

This is a still life study from my series of ‘daily paintings’ which I am undertaking this year! Am getting on well and haven’t miss too many days out yet! Wonder if I will end up with 365 by the end of it!!

I loved the way the kitchen light was shining off this pepper and wanted to try and catch that effect in the painting. Have learnt to put on the white highlights first and not after as I would with acrylics. You learn as you go along. Off to London tomorrow for the day so may not get a painting done!
