Amazing trees that can live in salt water..

  • Mary- thanks so much for viewing and your comments- it is an amazing tree, and the diverse sealife depends on it for their breeding grounds.

This is so cool, The Diversity of this tree is a lot to think about
Salt? I wonder how it manages the Salt, whether or not it depends on the Salt or utilizes it?
    Great Capture

  • Thanks Jason! You make a great point to ponder. I do know that it provides a breeding ground for quite a lot of sea creatures. I’ve always seen them in groves- so this one off by itself captured my attention.

I have spent some time today pondering from time to time this image, and it strikes me again and again, the Mangrove is an organism made up of many members, surely this mangrove just did not start growing from where it now stands. I came to think that perhaps a shoot traveled from some point off from the distance however near by that may be, and found an appropriate place to sprout out from, perhaps like a collective of subsidiaries and rather than work harder for a resource it consolidated a means within itself to provide for itself an abundance.
