I was born in Dallas, TX where I lived until I graduated high school. As a little girl I was fascinated with photographs that my Grandmother had and I practically wore her books out looking through them with her. When I was 8 years old I received my very first camera, a Kodak Brownie and that was the beginning.

In 1972, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I majored in Fine Arts/Photography. There I studied the History of Photography under Beaumont Newhall and spent many hours in the darkroom. Our classroom was a camera, and we held class viewing the world outside, upside down, like a continuous movie on the walls. Everything was black and white, chemistry and magic. Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Richard Avedon were my main influences.

Since 2001, I have gone digital and I love not having to develope film and mess with all the chemicals. No more waiting to see what you’ve shot! My photo work on the computer is limited to basic darkroom corrections. I don’t manipulate my images but would love to learn new techniques in the future. I’ve kept my Nikon 35mm camera, but rarely use it anymore.

We now reside in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, outside of Austin. We are lucky in that being the music capital of Texas, there is always good music to hear nearby. My husband and I love to travel, and we have gone on many adventures! I have a love of animals, nature and the outdoors which I like to explore with the camera and lens. Photography is my passion, and I love capturing rare moments in time.

I appreciate any comments/suggestions! Thank you for viewing my works and come back often!

Hi R/B Friends!

I’m up and about. Hiking is still difficult and I’m a little slower than before, so its a little harder going on photo outings. Most of my photos lately have been around my house. But now …

I'll be back soon.

Sorry to say I had an accident at the house and fell and broke my leg. I had surgery on Thursday and have to stay off of it for a while, but in time should be good as new! It kind of changed our Chris…
