Whether you photograph, draw, paint or make music your copyright is about to be taken away!
I am sending this to all of my fellow artists (as you should too) to point out the fact that congress is about to pass a bill called the “Orphan Works” act. If this passes, we as artists, will lose our copyright or be forced to register each individual photograph, song, painting etc.. This would put us out of business and make companies like Corbis and Getty rich.
This is not only trying to be passed in the U.S. but the U.K. also. We, as artists, must take a stand and write our Congressman. This article explains what will happen if we don’t. It’s a little long but well worth the read….

YOU CAN COPYRIGHT AS MANY PHOTOS ETC AS YOU CAN PUT ON A CD OR USB FOR FORTY FIVE DOLLARS. SHOULD DO ALL WE CAN NOW BEFORE IT CHANGES. THOSE THAT WE DO NOW WILL BE REGISTERED THEN FOR LESS MONEY. MUST FIND OUT THE COPYRIGHT OFFICE ADDRESS AND HOW TO SEND IT IN.
