We launched leggings! Step into a world of individuality.

This painting was inspired by my passion for the orient. It was mostly done with my fingers, using the wipe out technique. After many layers of glosses and glazes it has achieved that almost enameled look, that is often featured oriental art. Acrylic on Board 450×610mm.

This painting is one of the TOP TEN winners of the ’Unsung Challenge-Oriental Obsession’ organized by The PiMT Group, in February, 2010.
FEATURED IN MONOCHROME 19th MARCH, 2010.
FEATURED IN “FISHLIKE GROUP,” 12th March,
FEATURED IN “ARTISTS UNIVERSE GROUP,” 27th January, 2012.

It has a 3D look, like the darker parts really are recessing or the yellow is raised off the canvas.
    Beautiful!

Excellent swirls and warm colours, in this abstract, Cathy.
I finger paint also, as brushes never blend as well. Just done one in il of a seascape.

  • Thank you for your wonderful comment Colin and for taking the time to stop by my site. I agree. Sometimes the brush is just too contrived but your fingers give so much more freedom to the piece.
