If these walls could speak
they would tell you of tears
and sad midnight skies
They would tell you of whispers
and whimpers and wondering why’s

They would tell you of the silence
that blow your thoughts into black
of wishing you were here
and bottomless wishing wells
of all consuming breathtaking fear

If these walls could sing
their melody would be haunting
a soft, slow, painful song
of moments forever gone
and moments gone all wrong

They would sing of the lonely
the jaded, the infinitely scarred
the ones that pray for salvation
to forget and protect

the heart
that is
falling apart
