I have always been interested in photography but have only managed to spend more time on it in the last 2 years. My main interests lie in wildlife/nature … but beauty is all around us, we just need to open our eyes and minds enough to see it.
I am married and am a mother of 2 grown up boys and self employed. I have 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and it was learning to take pictures of those (especially the fast moving shots) that made me think I needed to know more. So the camera now is rarely far away, because only with practice do we improve … (hopefully) :) Self taught amateur, with lots of help from groups, sharing sites, forums … and a lots of very special & talented people.

I use a Canon 450D, the standard kit lens, canon 75-300( for outings with the dogs I walk), canon 50mm f2.8 , Sigma 150-500. Tamron 90mm f2,8 macro lens. Also use extention tubes and a 10 stop ND filter.
