I’m a retired photographer, wife, mother & doting gran to four little ones.
These days the camera goes hand-in-hand with Photoshop and I enjoy photoshop with as much relish as I do photography. My subjects now are my family, and the flowers that I grow in the garden, with the odd landscape thrown in for good measure.
I also am passionate about digital scrapbooking and this is how I now preserve all my family memories. I’ve never really been good at journalling, putting down on paper all the special moments in my family life, and this has always bothered me. Memories that should be treasured throughout generations need to be recorded.
Digital Scrapbooking was the answer for me and now all my family photographs get this treatment. Using Photoshop each photograph or group of photographs is captured in a layout and once complete, each layout becomes the page of a book. The books are then printed and I know that in many years to come, they will be there for my family of the future to browse through. Each page gives a little bit of information about who, and where and why – just enough for these future generations to understand those who have gone before them.
So my retired life is full. I have my family and kind and loving friends. I garden, I photograph and photoshop… What bliss!
