Successful Exhibition

Hello to all my friends at RB.

After weeks of preparation, yesterday, Saturday 30th April, we held our first exhibition at the RBL Dawlish in aid of the Poppy Appeal, more of which can be found here in Richards journal.
The exhibition was attended by amongst others, legion officials, our former MP, Richard Younger Ross, local councillors, and was opened by the Mayor of Dawlish, Cllr Mrs Helen Humphries.
Judging was performed by Ian Birdsey, a foremost professional photographer in South Devon, and I am so proud in the fact that he awarded two of my pictures Best in Category for B&W and Still Life, for which he also chose as Best in Exhibition.
The B&W picture I still have to upload, but the Still Life and best in exhibition winner was Tulips.

I would like to thank all those who were involved in making this exhibition a success, especially great friend Mattie, for her generosity, and to my fellow ‘Legionaries’ David, Bob, Caroline and of course Richard, for all his hard work in organising the whole thing.
Some pictures are below.

Having a complete rest today, so see you all very soon. I have missed you so much.

Hugs.

Catherine. xx
