This was taken about ten years ago, on a holiday to The Highlands of Scotland. I’m afraid I cant remember exactly where this was, but it could possibly be Plockton. Or Loch Etive. Hope someone can help me out here!! I have fiddled about with textures to try and get a pleasing effect, Hope I succeeded.
I uses CS3, amd finished off in Picasa3 FREE DOWNLOAD

    Sorry I can’t help identify the location Catherine but that doesn’t in any way stop me from enjoying both the delightful moody composition and the creative painterly effect that you applied in post processing, it really has a strong appearance of an old masters artwork, wonderful work,

    Very impressive treatment- could be any of a thousand places on the west coast though, so you’ll have a hard task tracing where it is

    very possibly, though I don’t think its not the classic pier shot as the mountains in the background don’t look big enough. Check out flickr under etive and pier for comparisons.
