AH! glorious Polperro, it must be one of the most beautiful unspoilt fishing villages in Cornwall or anywhere else for that matter.
I know exactly where you were standing Catherine, the house with the railings was an artist’s studio and was recently sold, just out of shot there is a lifebelt with it’s name on it, Harbour Studio, beautifully captured and your well documented information makes fascinating reading.
Did you go into the Heritage Museum of smuggling and fishing on the quayside, so interesting to visit,
    Regards, Rod.

  • Catherine Veal replied

Thank you so much Rod glad you liked it, yes we have been to the museum not this time though. I dont know if the person that bought the house will keep it as an artist studio i hope so. It is so unspoiled.x

Catherine, what a beautiful image. I assume this must be in a tidal area? Does it get very cold here in Winter?
I stay on the banks of a tidal river, (rise and fall about 1,5-2m) but we have a towpath separating us from the waters edge, and we have a much more temperate climate than England, so can spend a lot of time outdoors in Winter.
Again…... a beautiful and well capture image

  • Catherine Veal

    Catherine Veal

Yes Mugsy it is tidal as such but i think the boat is more for decoration than anything although i expect they could use it. It sometimes gets quite cold here in winter but the gulf stream comes through here which makes it warmer than most parts of the UK. Thank you for your nice comment.x
