Charcoal on Cartridge paper
I am an artist from the North Coast of NSW, utilizing my Graphic Design skills to generate thought processes in Adobe Photoshop. I then translate my designs onto canvas using mixed media, ie acrylic, ink, pastel, gold leaf etc. I also work intuitively with colour straight onto the canvas letting the flow of paint dictate the composition. I can relate to the Bowerbird, as I am drawn to blues and turquoises, collecting my treasures from the artists universe to produce my work.

Having fun yet??? I know you are! this is great, it is going to be fun seeing all these new sides to you.
Yes and no Bec, fun when I’m actually drawing and painting, no fun trying to do 10 million things at once in order to get assessements in. Juggling family, teaching art therapy and uni….interesting, lets see if I survive it.

OOOOH!!! Cate, i love this!!! there’s no usage of watercolor at all? so cool!! at a glance, i really thought it’s some mixed art with some water in play, cos it looks really.. err.. watery?? hehehe!! me like!! Fav!! =D
Hi Fa, maybe it looks watery cause it was raining…lol The only medium I used was charcoal and an eraser. That’s it.

Love the softness in this work,
as well as the light and shading.
It is so very plain to see,
you have a wonderful talent.
