Thanks for stopping by and your comment Roger, I feel that I must let you know that I am well informed about Picasso …... I never intened this piece of work to exactly mirror Picasso. It was a self portrait and I used his painting of “Women with book” as an inspiration…

This being my first painting as an adult and being greatly inspired as a teenager by Picasso, I wanted something from him in my first painting, so I honed in on colour and design, but still wanting it to say this is Cate. I guess I’m like a bower bird taking bits and pieces from here and there and building up my treasure chest.

oh i once met the owner of this oridginal,painting once long ago in pasadena calif and had a nice talk with him about his art collection,

oh his name was norton simon,he,s dead now,but his art is safely in his museum,
