gorgeous Cate, i love the aquas and splashes of colour…looks wonderful in the frame….
it’s as tho, when i saw it, i sensed it was yours before i saw your name to it…..i think you have a style all your very own Cate!!

  • CateTownsend replied

Thanks so much Karin. It was a day where we weren’t allowed to be precious, my teacher wanted total abstraction. It was hard as we were not allowed to use a brush. It was fun though you should have seen how much paint I got everywhere. I wasn’t happy with mine until the end. I spent so much time looking at it from different angles and from far away, then finally it kind of came together.

umm.. don’t mind me sharing my pov? when i first saw this piece.. dunno why.. but i see a hand that seems to be reaching out, towards the viewer of this piece.. but that’s just me.. eheh.. n_n”

Hi Fa it’s nice to see you, and I always welcome feedback. Although I can’t see a hand YET and I will emphasis YET…. It’s supposed to be a total abstraction, I see a tower in a japanese garden with the water and reflections and a little japanese doll down the bottom left lol. My friend sees a man and a woman underneath the tower with the woman with her arm outstretched around the man, lol the more you look the more you see.
