Olivia - The Fat 1920s Flapper by

This design sort of combines my 1920s series with my body positive series of cute fat ladies.

Most of the 1920s type imagery we see tends to be of hollywood-thin people, because that’s what’s in the movies and is the default body type for most modern artists (myself included, a lot of the time). I’ve also read this and that about how fat people didn’t exist before X time period (usually somewhere between the 50s and 80s) which is completely inaccurate and also a blatant lie. So I decided to add a fat lady to my Empire Club characters.

This is Olivia. She’s a chorus girl, and the Tuesday night jazz singer. She also has secret plans to start a burlesque troupe.

1920s, flapper, gatsby, boardwalk, chicago, fat, chubby, bbw, body positive, fat acceptance, size acceptance, feathers, sequins, pinup, jazz, music, singer, club, vintage, antique, blue, brunette, empire, city, historical, history, comic, gangster, mafia

Cat Astrophe by name, catastrophe by nature.
