Artist's Description

This image was designed as a dreamlike and surreal narrative, full of (perhaps obscure) symbolism. The red balloon, the empty birdcage, the mask, the burnt forest, a suitcase full of flowers – red for romance, white for innocence, and the dried flowers of poppy seed heads to represent loss, grief, sleep (dreaming), and have been known to represent loyalty and faith between lovers.

“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing”
- 1 Corinthians 13:2
